On the Day of Pentecost the Apostle Peter gave a two-part sermon: 1) The impossibility of death’s victory over Jesus; 2) the results of Jesus’ victory over death. This message provoked a two-part response, first from the listeners (“Ouch!”) then from Peter himself (“Repent!”). He followed that up with a four-part promise.
