Even on an Easter Sunday gathering at a church, several kinds of people can be identified. Some like the Sadducees, deny the power of God and deny even the possibility of the resurrection. Others, like the Pharisees, believe in a life to come, but reject the reality of Christ’s resurrection for their own lives. And then there are those, like Paul, who have placed their trust firmly and unashamedly in the resurrection to come, secured by the historic resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth.
